In April 2024, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 870.8 thousand metric tons, representing an increase of 494.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result was mainly explained by higher anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC), which increased by 11,988.4%. In contrast, it was partially offset by a 34.1% decrease in catches of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC)
