In May 2024, the total volume of fishery landings amounted to 1,554.4 thousand MT, which represents a significant expansion of 1,076.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result is mainly due to the increase in the unloading of anchovy destined for Indirect Human Consumption (IHC), which increased more than 100%, reaching a used volume of anchovy of 1,454.9 thousand MT. In contrast, the extraction of resources destined for Direct Human Consumption (DHC) experienced a drop of -20.1%.
