Aquaculture harvesting activity experienced a 32.8% decrease in terms of volume compared to 2022, whose harvest reached 94,758 MT. This result is a consequence of unfavorable weather conditions (presence of warm water) caused by the El Niño phenomenon and cyclone Yacu, which resulted in a lower cultivation of fan shell. In addition, social conflicts in the south at the beginning of the year also had an impact, causing losses in the trout crop.
