The cooperative sector has become a global development model, with a wide diversity of business models adapted to the needs of each region and to the understanding of the cooperative model. This is because cooperatives contribute to the creation of decent and productive employment and promote self-help in communities where investment is very limited. Therefore, this study analyzes the performance of Peru’s cooperative sector, considering the country’s economic situation and the international environment in which the sector operates.
