Total landings of hydrobiological resources amounted to 289.5 thousand metric tons, 351.0 thousand metric tons below the level recorded in January 2021, when landings reached 640.5 thousand metric tons. This decrease was mainly explained by lower anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (-78.5%), particularly in the north-central zone. In contrast, this result was partially offset by higher extractive activity in artisanal fishing intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (+44.4%).
