March 2022: Domestic Trade Situation Report

In March 2022, domestic trade sales increased by 13.0% with respect to the same period of the previous year, as a result of the positive performance of sales in supermarkets and hypermarkets (+19.3%), hardware stores (+13.4%), pharmacies and drugstores (+5.3%), as well as books, newspapers and stationery (+251.1%). In contrast, this increase was tempered by lower sales in department stores (-1.4%) and home furnishings (-16.5%).
