In March 2022, domestic trade sales increased by 13.0% compared to the same period of the previous year, as a result of the positive sales performance in supermarkets and hypermarkets (+19.3%), hardware stores (+13.4%), pharmacies and drugstores (+5.3%), as well as book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+251.1%). In contrast, this increase was partially offset by lower sales in department stores (-1.4%) and home equipment products (-16.5%).
