Total landings of hydrobiological resources amounted to 1,159.9 thousand metric tons, 290.1 thousand metric tons below the level recorded in May 2021, when landings reached 1,450.0 thousand metric tons. This decrease was mainly explained by lower extractive activity in artisanal fishing intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (-28.1%). In addition, anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) decreased by 19.2%.
