In October 2023, domestic trade sales recorded a decline of 4.9%, due to lower sales in department stores (-12.8%), hardware and home improvement stores (-16.3%), home equipment stores (-7.7%), and pharmacies and drugstores (-6.4%). However, this trend was partially offset by higher sales in supermarkets (+2.3%) and book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+9.7%).
