In September 2022, sales of the domestic commerce sector increased by 4.6% with respect to the same period of the previous year, as a result of the positive performance registered by some activities that make up this sector, such as: supermarkets and hypermarkets (+3.0%), pharmacies and drugstores (+31.5%), as well as books, newspapers and stationery (+29.3%). In contrast, this result was partially mitigated by the negative performance registered by sales in department stores (-4.7%), hardware and finishing stores (-6.7%), as well as household equipment products (-8.6%).
