In September 2024, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 78.5 thousand metric tons, representing a contraction of 22.2% compared to the same month in 2023. This result was mainly explained by lower catches of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (-22.5%), although it was partially offset by an increase in anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (+46.7%).
