In September, the GDP of the fisheries sector experienced a year-on-year decline of 14.6% attributed to reduced catches for Direct Human Consumption (DHC). The landing for DHC decreased significantly by 22.5%, amounting to 77.9 thousand tons. Conversely, the landing for Indirect Human Consumption increased by 47.2%, reaching 0.6 thousand tons of anchovy (predominantly discards) sourced from the DHC industry.
