Extractive activity in the fishing sector recorded a significant increase of 88.0% in volume terms compared to February 2022, marking two consecutive months of positive results. This result was mainly explained by higher landings of fishery resources from artisanal fishing, including giant squid, mackerel, anchoveta, and jack mackerel, and, to a lesser extent, by the increase in anchoveta landings intended for the fishmeal industry.
