Extractive activity in the fishing sector recorded a significant decrease of 77.2% in volume terms compared to July 2022. This negative result, for the third consecutive month, was due to the absence of anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC), following the suspension of the first 2023 anchoveta fishing season in the north-central zone of the Peruvian coast due to the high incidence of juveniles.
