Extractive activity in the fishing sector recorded a significant decrease of 85.0% in volume terms compared to June 2022. This result was mainly explained by lower anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC), following the suspension of the first 2023 anchoveta fishing season in the north-central zone due to the high incidence of juvenile anchoveta.
