Over the past five years, the Gross Value Added (GVA) of the coffee sector experienced fluctuations, achieving a 21.7% growth between 2019 and 2021. Between 2019 and 2023, the coffee sector contributed an average of 1.3% annually to the manufacturing GDP and 0.2% to the national GDP. This growth is driven by several factors, including rising international demand, increasing preference for sustainably certified products, diversification of Peru’s coffee offerings, and enhanced global recognition of Peruvian coffee.
