Over the past five years, the Gross Value Added (GVA) of the coffee sector experienced fluctuations, recording growth of 21.7% between 2019 and 2021. Likewise, between 2019 and 2023, the coffee sector contributed an annual average of 1.3% to manufacturing GDP and 0.2% to national GDP. This growth was driven by several factors, including rising international demand, growing preference for sustainably certified products, the diversification of Peru’s coffee supply, and greater international recognition of Peruvian coffee.
