In November 2023, sales in the internal trade sector reported a slight decrease of 2.3% compared to the same month the previous year, due to lower revenue in department stores (-7.3%), hardware stores and home finishing products (-15.9%), home equipment products (-9.1%), and pharmacies and drugstores (-6.0%). However, this result was moderated by positive performance in sales of supermarkets and hypermarkets (+5.7%) and books, newspapers, and stationery items (+15.2%).
