In November 2023, sales in the domestic trade sector recorded a slight decline of 2.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, as a result of lower turnover in department stores (-7.3%), hardware and home improvement stores (-15.9%), home equipment products (-9.1%), and pharmacies and drugstores (-6.0%). However, this result was partially offset by the positive performance of sales in supermarkets and hypermarkets (+5.7%), as well as book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+15.2%).
