In October 2024, sales in the domestic trade sector increased slightly by 1.6% year-on-year, driven by higher sales in related activities such as supermarkets and hypermarkets (+5.6%), pharmacies and drugstores (+6.8%), home equipment (+3.1%), and hardware stores and finishing materials (+0.1%). However, this growth was partially offset by a significant decline in sales at department stores (-14.8%) and in books, newspapers, and stationery items (-0.6%).
