In October 2024, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 73.2 thousand metric tons, representing a 77.1% decrease compared to the same month in 2023. This result was mainly explained by lower catches of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (-17.1%), as well as by a sharp decrease in anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (-98.8%).
