In September 2023, domestic trade sales experienced a 2.8% increase, mainly due to the growth in sales of supermarkets and hypermarkets (+12.4%), pharmacies and drugstores (+10.3%), as well as in the books, newspapers and stationery category (+6.7%). However, this positive momentum was partially offset by the negative performance of department stores (-11.2%), home equipment (-7.7%) and hardware and finishing stores (-16.4%).
