Extractive activity in the fishing sector recorded a significant decrease of 66.5% in volume terms compared to April 2021. This result was mainly explained by lower anchoveta landings intended for the fishmeal industry (-91.4%), because the first 2022 fishing season in the north-central zone had not yet started during the month under review, whereas in 2021 it began on April 23.
