February 2023: Domestic Trade Statistical Bulletin

In February 2023, sales in the domestic trade sector increased by 5.2% year-on-year, as a result of the positive performance of some activities within the sector, such as supermarkets and hypermarkets (+7.7%), pharmacies and drugstores (+2.8%), department stores (+16.6%), and book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+64.6%).

July 2023: Domestic Trade Statistical Bulletin

In July 2023, sales in the domestic trade sector recorded a year-on-year decline of 4.3%. This result was attributed to the negative performance of department stores (-12.4%), hardware and home improvement stores (-16.1%), home equipment stores (-12.3%), book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (-3.1%), and pharmacies and drugstores (-4.0%).

In August 2023, sales in the domestic trade sector recorded a year-on-year decline of 3.5%, as a result of the negative performance of activities within the sector, such as department stores (-2.7%), hardware and home improvement stores (-21.4%), home equipment stores (-8.8%), and book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (-21.8%).
