The extractive activity of the Fishing Sector decreased by 20.0% in terms of volume compared to May 2021. This result is mainly explained by the reduction in the landing of resources for Direct Human Consumption (-28.1%), due to the unfavorable oceanographic conditions caused by the presence of cold waters caused by the La Niña phenomenon. Likewise, anchoveta landings for Indirect Human Consumption decreased (-19.2%).
